Fair Trade Resource Network Fundraiser

Published March 25, 2009 @ 04:27PM PT

The Fair Trade Federation Conference is taking place this weekend in Portland, Oregon and the lovely city in the Pacific Northwest is gearing up for it. It will be the Fair Trade Federation's 15th birthday. QuinceaƱera! Fair Traders from all over North America are already gathered there, or are on their way, and festivities are already beginning.

Tomorrow, the 26th, the Fair Trade Resource Network is having a fundraiser at the Ten Thousand Villages in Portland. Everyone is encouraged to come out and enjoy free Fair Trade food and drink and be surrounded by fellow advocates and beautiful crafts. The Fair Trade Resource Network's Executive Director, Jeff Goldman, whom I met the other day when he made a surprise visit to my office and enjoyed one of my Fair Trade Tagalongs, will be giving a presentation on Fair Trade and will answer questions and chat with everyone willing to chat. I really recommend going to the event to support FTRN and meet Jeff. Such an interesting guy with an inspiring Fair Trade background.

Details:

When: March 26th. 5pm. Jeff speaks around 5:45pm.

Where: Ten Thousand Villages in Portland. 938 N.W. Everett Street.

Why: To support the Fair Trade Resource Network's efforts and to meet like-minded Fair Traders. Oh yes, free treats.

Get that energy going for this weekend's upcoming Fair Trade Federation conference. Fair Trade overload? Never.
